Work Out Routines for Men

If you are a man, then regular exercise is vital in preserving your metabolism and your overall health. Use these two simple workout routines to maintain an active lifestyle.

Cardio

A good cardio workout is a way to get in shape and lose weight. Running is the usual go-to for cardio. If you do not want to run, consider jumping jacks. This workout takes about 12 minutes. You need something to keep track of the passing seconds. Start by doing as many jumping jacks as you can for 10 seconds, then rest for 10 seconds. Do jumping jacks for 20 seconds, then rest for 20 seconds. Do jumping jacks for 30 seconds, then rest for 30 seconds. Repeat in descending order, starting with jumping jacks for 30 seconds then resting for 30 seconds. Do the whole cycle three times.

Strength training

Another great way to get in shape and lose weight is strength training. You do not have to have access to weights or a gym; your own body weight is enough. Do 10 pushups and one full-body squat. Next comes nine pushups and two squats, then eight pushups and three squats. Follow this pattern until you finish with one pushup and 10 squats. To add a little variety, try starting with 10 squats and one pushup. When doing squats, remember to keep your knees over your toes and your back straight.

It is recommended that you get 30 to 45 minutes of moderate to vigorous intensity activity most days of the week, but this exercise is not necessarily all at once. These two workouts are a great way to work towards a healthier life.
